Ruscifolia has red berries rather than black. There s nothing particularly showy about its graceful arching stems deep green leaves or the tiny white flowers that hang from its branches in winter. A beautiful shrub for shady areas. Useful in shaded areasunder overhangs in entryways beneath low branching evergreen trees.

Grows at a moderate rate up to 3 5 ft. Thrives in part to full shade in moderately fertile. Small berrylike fruit follows the flowers. Grown for handsome waxy dark green leaves and tiny powerfully fragrant white blossoms that come in late winter or early spring hidden in the foliage.
