Siberian cypress is a low spreading soft textured evergreen shrub or ground cover. Its mid green leaves turn a coppery bronze in the fall adding to its appeal.

A graceful yet hardy evergreen that is well suited for use in rock gardens or massed as lush easy care groundcover. This very low growing wide spreading shrub has a juniper like appearance with bright spearmint green feathery scale like foliage that develops a brown purple hue in cold weather. This plant is super hardy down to usda zone 2 tolerates light shade tolerates dry conditions and is untouched by deer. The fan like feathery branchlets appear on drooping branches.May spread to as much as 10 12. Although winter color in the sun is brownish purple. Its pretty fern like foliage belies its durable nature. Overall it s a very graceful foliage resembling arborvitae with a light green color.
So far only one cultivar has been selected. Try celtic pride siberian cypress. In late fall the medium green leaves turn a burgundy to bronzy color adding interest to the winter landscape. Spreading with ease it will gradually fill in an area with lush color.
